Carlo Volpi has unleashed a lusciously flavoursome barrique-aged red wine which skilfully combines weighty flavour and distinct sophistication. The dark purple fruit is ripe and deep, while the oaking is deft and sensitive – the overall impact is beautifully harmonious and memorable. Carlo used specially selected grapes, aged the wine for a year in new oak and then allowed it to age in bottle for 2 years before release. We can only thank him for his hard work – the result is a delight.
