A wine which we love to present in blind tastings as it always performs so strongly and surprises so many when revealed as ‘English’. It delights most with its blossomy lime aromas, zesty freshness and vivacity and great concentration of apple and yeasty flavours. A dry white best filed under ‘refreshing’. Acidic yet bright with some body so this works well with light fish starters like white anchovy crostini, where the citrus works to cut through the oily fish and the yeasty notes work alongside the toasted bread.
